The hour after sunrise and before sunset, when light is low, warm and forgiving. Brief, unrepeatable, and worth building a day around.

Golden hour is the day's brief mercy: the sun low enough to light faces instead of skulls, warm enough to flatter, soft enough to forgive. Shadows stretch long and directional, skies hold gradient, and the ordinary world spends an hour looking composed.

Worth building a day around is literal production practice: the scene is rehearsed in flat light and shot when the hour arrives, because the hour does not wait and does not return. The window's brevity disciplines everyone. Our own imagery leans on this register constantly, the warmth in the studio's palette is, at heart, golden hour held still.
