Owned media

The channels that belong to you: the site, the list, the archive. Rented audiences evaporate; owned ones compound.

Owned media is the brand's sovereign territory: the website whose address you hold, the mailing list no algorithm ranks, the body of published work that accrues instead of scrolling away. Reach here is smaller than the platforms offer and entirely yours, no policy change can repossess it.

The strategic pattern is fishing and harbour: platforms for discovery, owned channels for the relationship. Every feed profile should, over time, move people somewhere owned. This site is the studio's harbour, and its lexicon, films and pages are deposits in an archive that appreciates, which is the one thing rented attention can never do.
