Marketing 206
Promise
What a brand commits to deliver every time. Break it once in public and the rest of the marketing turns to noise.
The promise is the contract the marketing signs on the product's behalf. Every claim, every image of ease or speed or care, sets the level the experience must now clear. Marketing that outpromises delivery is not ambitious; it is borrowing at interest from the first real encounter.
Break it once in public and every subsequent message is read through the breach. The remedy is unglamorous: promise at the level of your median day, not your best one, and let the best days be experienced as generosity. Under-promising is not modesty; it is compounding.
