Marketing 035

Brand

Not the logo, not the ad. It is the impression that remains when the campaign has ended and the room is quiet. We build for what is left.

A brand is a memory under construction. Every surface, sentence and silence deposits something into how a person will recall you when you are not in the room, which is where every buying decision is actually made. The logo is only the handle on that memory.

Building for what is left changes the daily questions. Not, will this get attention, but, what does this leave behind? A loud campaign that deposits the wrong memory is negative work. Slow consistency compounds; cleverness that contradicts last year's cleverness spends the account.
