Lockup

A fixed arrangement of mark, name and words, locked so it never rearranges itself. The brand at its most disciplined.

A lockup fixes the brand's parts, mark, name, sometimes a line of words, into one arrangement with settled spacing, so the identity travels as a single object. Versions exist for horizontal and stacked spaces, but within each version nothing moves.

The point is protection at the edges. The brand's own designers never needed the rule; the sponsor slide, the partner footer and the event banner did. A lockup with clearspace drawn around it survives other people's layouts, which is where a brand spends most of its public life.
