Narrative

The through-line that makes separate pieces feel like one story. Without it a brand is a pile of moments; with it, a body of work.

A narrative gives separate acts a direction: this is where we came from, this is what we are building toward, and today's piece is a chapter, not an interruption. It is the difference between a company that publishes and a company that is going somewhere.

In practice the narrative is a private sentence before it is a public one. When the team can say what chapter the year belongs to, choices order themselves: some opportunities advance the story, others merely happen. Audiences feel the through-line long before they could quote it.
