Urgency
The reason to act now instead of eventually. Borrowed from real deadlines, or counterfeited and eventually detected.
Eventually is where intentions go to die: without a now, even convinced audiences defer, and deferred action decays. Urgency supplies the now, a premiere date, a closing window, a cost of delay, and its legitimacy depends entirely on the deadline being real.
Manufactured urgency is the feed's background radiation, and its side effect is trained numbness: audiences who have survived a thousand last chances stop believing in endings altogether. The craft position: state true deadlines plainly, engineer occasions honestly, launches and premieres exist partly to create legitimate nows, and never rent the trick.
